Team Green turned... (PIP)

TEAM BLUE!! On May 23rd we met our little man! Hudson Carl was born at 10:26 pm weighing 6 lbs 11 oz and 20.33 inches long.

On Monday I went to my 40 week appt at 1 pm. I was 4 cm dilated and 80% effaced. I was having cramping but nothing really intense or contractions that I could start timing. I arrived home at 2 pm and within 5 minutes of being home I felt three gushes of fluid. I figured my water had broke so I threw some last minute items into my hospital bag and we headed over to L&D. Got there are 3:30 pm and they confirmed my water had broken. At that point I started having contractions 2 to 4 minutes apart. After an hour an half at 5 pm the contractions got to be too much so I asked for an epi. Around 6 pm his heart rate kept decreasing into the 70's so that kept causing a bit a of a frenzy but after about an hour his heart rate became more stable and things calmed down thankfully. A 9:45 pm they said I was 10 cm and we were ready to start pushing. So after 45 minutes our little man made his debut. I'm so glad we had the will power to stay team green. It was hard but definitely worth the surprise!
