Re: FFFC

  • Jake has had green eye discharge and a cold for 3 days so I'm taking him to the pedi today. I scheduled his appointment for 1:30 and told DH the earliest they had available was 2pm and I would have to call in sick so I could take him (I work 3-11:30pm). The earliest they could have gotten me in was 11:40am. I just didn't want to rush nap time nor did I want to go to work.

  • I had sex with H last night because he is so tense and stressed out for reason he won't tell me.  I felt bad for him, so even though I wasn't in the mood I totally initiated it.

I HATE getting AF, it makes me 100% miserable and my mood swings are out of control, I go from angry, to scared, to sad, to irritated in seconds.  I feel out of control at times.

I wish money grew on trees.  I'm not sure where we'll be in the next year financially, even though we downgraded everything, it's still super tight...and pretty much NO savings due to our struggles over the past year. So I should probably not drive to my parents this weekend but I seriously just want to get away.

  • I'm selfishly sad because my  mom postponed my family baby shower until September (AFTER baby).  Flamable because it's postponed because it's "too soon to celebrate anything" after my cousin's 19 year old son overdosed on heroine.  I'm still disappointed but cant' imagine being in his mom/dad's shoes.

(ya, that sounds as awful and selfish out loud as it does in my head)

  • H went back to work on Tuesday and ever since I have felt like I'm doing 95% of the work. He has helped and we talked about this on Wednesday before we went to celebrate my birthday. He helped a little yesterday and then he went to bed and it felt like we were back to where we were before we talked.

Edmund didn't sleep well at all last night and neither did I. I am taking him to the pediatricians because his belly button has some funky smell and discharge and it really seems to be bothering him. H went to the office to see when they could fit him in, since it is right next to work, and got an appointment for 10:15.

I just finished his feeding and was hoping that since he fell back asleep I would get to do so as well. No such luck. And knowing Edmund once we leave the pediatricians office he will be wide awake.

H left for work before 4am and he won't be home until sometime this afternoon. So that means that I won't get to take a nap until there is really no point in me taking a nap because then I won't sleep tonight.

  • I really wish my friend who is 38 weeks pregnant w/ her second would STFU about "being SO ready for this baby already/I'm so uncomfortable" plus whining non-stop w/ pained look all the time BS.  Listen, we have all been there and you have too. We don't want to hear about it anymore and help us all if the baby is actually overdue. You do not get to decide when your baby is born and yes the contractions mean something but not necessarily imminent labor so stop saying "this will be a May baby" I can't make it to my due date. We all get it! Your poor husband.

  • I have another one. I just logged on to DH's e-mail to get the link for his paycheck website again (DH never checks his paychecks which I think is ridiculous) and noticed a response to an e-mail he sent to his work's HR person that said 'Ticket'. So I opened it out of curiosity and he was letting them know he got another speeding ticket yesterday. Two in the last few months. I seriously want to scream at him right now but I can't because I can't admit I read his e-mail. The first one was while driving a work car, so it didn't affect our insurance. But he had training yesterday so he was driving his car this time. I'm always telling him that he drives like crap and here is even more proof of that! Oh, I know when he'll tell me. When he needs me to write a check to freaking pay the fine!

  • I'm such a cry baby. Ever since we got engaged, even before babies, I can cry at the drop of a hat. Commercials, thoughts of my kids growing up, sentimental stuff.. it's pathetic. I seriously cry when I hear my favorite music. Good grief !
  • I have 15 hours of Curious George on my DVR.

We might be making a BIG major financial decision this weekend and as disappointed as I am in us for going into more debt and taking a big risk, I think I want this more than anything else money can buy.  I will even give up coloring my hair for this.  But not brow waxes.

  • I just can't get over the fact our dog was fine before my DH let her run the fence line for 30 min, That is what started the downward sprial of events and which ultimtaly ended her life.  Part of me knows she was old ( 15years) but I can't help but think the medication we put her on for the pain in her hips from the running, killed her.  She was perfecty fine until then.  So in a way, I blame myself for her death, I know its not rational and the vet(s) even told me I was just doing what they told me to and that is was proabably something else going on that we didn't know about.

Last night I layed in bed going over and over the last 3 weeks of her life.  I am so very sad about it.

  • I can't wait for G to go to sleep tonight so I can catch up on the week's worth of trashy TV (Real Housewives of NYC,NJ & OC, Pregnant in Heels, 16 & Pregnant) on the DVR

  • I have a pair of cotton Victoria's Secret underwear that I bought proably 8 years ago for a couple of dollars during a sale. They have so many holes now that I would almost be remiss for calling them underwear. But I still wear them all the time and can't bear to throw them away. They fit so perfectly and are so comfortable. I try to just wear them at night or when I know I won't be leavng the house because I just imagine getting in a terrible accident and having a hospital discover them while I'm in a coma.

  • I am hosting a gtg tonight to make some friendship bracelets for Craft Hope. Everyone has dropped out but 2 of us. I am really bummed and am feeling like I just want to cancel. But, one of the 2 people coming is someone I have never met before and I don't want to seem like a flake.

I finally got my MI drivers license (licence? British/English?) and also renewed our tabs at the same time. I had to pay cash since I forgot the checkbook and ended up with a bunch of cash leftover (took out more then I needed). Yeah, that extra cash just went shopping at Joanns.

  • The Gymbo sale this week made me feel cheap.  Even though much of their items were more than 50% off, I still don't want to buy them.  I've found SO much of Lila's (ginormous) wardrobe on clearance and on consignment that I have trouble spending even $10 for any one thing for her.  Granted, this is probably a really good thing since she already has WAY too much stuff.

  • Another-

I get irrationally irritated when people post self portriats of themselves in the SAME DAMN POSE, just a different outfit, or hat, or location, practically every day. Its always the "skinny" pose and I feel like they only post them to get people to say "ohh, you look good!" when IRL, they dont.

Or everytime they go out they have to post about all the guys hitting on them... Riiiiightt, a conversation is not flirting.

I guess my FFFC should be that I am a horrid FB friend! ha!

  • When you are all snuggled in bed with a good book, a cake pop and your flannel PJ's (hello May!)  .... and your husband walks in, and makes a bee-line for you with a super serious face and a big romantic kiss....it's probably best NOT to start laughing uncontrollably until he walks out in a small huff to his man cave.

and yes, I went on to enjoy my evening as planned! Yes

Yes We have about 15 hours of Mickey and more than that of Yo Gabba Gabba.  Our DVR is literally 50% full at all times with kid shows.  Mostly it's so that we have options and I don't have to watch the same damn one over and over... not like she watches them all every day - or week, or month even.  But still.

  • On that note....I have a ton of episodes of GLEE on demand. I record them and G and I watch them together. He loves them and claps at the end of every song.

  • Sorry this is way too much TMI:

The other day I got out of shower and was looking around for the new lotion I bought (unsented, and very smooth) and I found it some where random in our bedroom.  Immediately I realized DH moved it when he "used it for his own good".

I got irrationaly pissed that he decided he'd rather have sex with himself than with me.  Every day I've been telling him, seductively, "come up stairs when you are done (doing what ever he's doing)" and he hasn't yet once.  So I moved the lotion to the other bathroom so he wouldn't be able to find it with out asking me where it is.

  • I purposely stayed in a tutoring room longer than I needed to pump today during lunch recess, because a mom was bringing in hot lunch for the class.  The last two times she's done it, she's treated me like her servant, so I purposely didn't come in until 5 minutes before the kids did.  I'd already made sure the tables were all clear and our plates/cups/napkins/utensils were out before I left.  She was like, "Where were you?  I was looking for you to help set up!"  I just gave her my most innocent look and told her I'd been pumping, to which she tried to tell me I should have just done formula so I'd have more time for my class.  I didn't feel badly for not helping her set up after that comment.  (note: pretty much all the other parents in my class are awesome, helpful, lovely, supportive people, and I would have gladly offered to help if needed.)

aaaaand now I'm bumping while pumping instead of getting work done...

we have a media center PC so we have a ginormous many gigabytes hard drive instead of a regular DVR.  I would be embarrassed if I could find out how many hours of saved TV we have.   Loads of kids shows - half of which Ben doesn't even care about anymore.   And then DH has saved every single episode of The Three Stooges and Hogan's Heros.   Seriously.  He will never watch them.  But God forbid I delete them.   Our stored up TV is stupid.

What a wench.  I'm glad you weren't around to help her.  There are plenty of reasons to formula feed, but "more time to help out lazy, demanding parents" ain't one of 'em.  Sheesh.

  • DD'ed not worth the drama...

For the record it wasn't about the kids it was about the people who brought them there but thanks for all the kind words, have a super great holiday.

I never find anything at Gymbo I want anyway - their boy stuff has really taken a turn for the yawn in the last few years...  and I've gotten cheap too since I always find such crazy sale deals at Osh Kosh or Childrens Place or Old Navy for Ben and so far Cooper has gotten pretty much nothing new for his whole life.  :)

  • I usually only find cute stuff at Gymbo during their clearance sales.  In January I bought some long sleeved stuff for $4-7.  During September and October, I hated everything.
