Re: FNFFC

  • Mine is that my in-laws are in town and I told them that I had to put A to bed by 7 tonight so I couldn't go to dinner.  She prob could have stayed up a little later, but she looked exhausted, my back is killing me, and I am so much happier sitting here on the couch bumping and watching DVR'd Bachelorette.  I'm about to go get myself a beer.  AHHH.

  • Tomorrow night I'm going to a bachelorette party that I do not want to go to.  I only hang out with the bride in group situations and I either do not know the others or have met then fifty times and each time they introduce themselves to me as though we've never met.  In addition to the company (I do like the bride, we just aren't close) rumor has it that the plans are dinner, dancing somewhere on 6 street then a strip club (to see girls strip.)  Umm...not really what I want to do when DH has one of his few nights off.

I'm going to go to dinner since I've skipped all her other wedding stuff.  I don't have an excuse and I don't think I'm going to come up with one.

  • I lied to an old college friend on FB today.  She's going to be in town with her H this weekend and wanted to have brunch with us on Sunday.  Neither DH nor I could stand the thought of spending 1 1/2 hrs with them so I told her we had plans when we didn't.  She is the reason the phrase "Debbie Downer" was coined and I just couldn't stomach hearing her complain for 90 minutes.

  • I'm on my 2nd glass of wine and about to jump my DH as soon as DS is in bed.  Embarrassed

He grilled filets for dinner and they were delicious.  DS ate almost an entire 6oz filet himself.  And I made us ice cream sundaes for dessert.  YUM.

We had such a fun time with Boxer and Rubina today!  I wish we could do it everyday.  :)

    That's all I got.  :)

  • I'm taking civics quizzes on The Bump while my daughters watch Shaun the Sheep on Netflix.

But given that the baby is bearing her head down on my cervix and standing is painful, it's not like we were gonna do a dance party or bake brownies tonight.

  • DS is teething AND has an ear infection, so I anticipate being up with him a few times tonight. That is not stopping me from drinking DH's yummy Mexican martinis. It has been a long week, and I deserve them.

I'm also doing some online shopping while drinking. I have my credit card number memorized, so I don't even have to get off the couch.

    uh oh! c'est really dangereux!

  • Jakob has a friend sleeping over.  They're watching tv in the den and I'm eating the last of the ice cream as fast as I can so they don't see and get mad that I didn't share.

I even put Reese's Magic Shell and sprinkles on this thing.  Oooooh its good.  Screw the diet.

  • I went to book club last night with my mommy group and 4 of the 12 were pregnant. I am insanely jealous of them. I also may or may not have had an entire bottle of wine tonight.

#1) I'm trying to break a habit of using a particular word that is offensive.  I understand why it's offensive, but I'm irritated that this word has been given equal footing with a couple of other words that I find painful to hear. I know that people who are affected by this word find it as painful as I do when I hear those other words it's equated to.  I made a promise to myself to go the entire weekend with out saying this word or any other swear word.

#2) I like swearing and it's kind of hard to give it up. I find myself using words like "bunky" and "shitake" and "cheese and crackers" and "shamalamadingdong", instead.  I'm starting to sound like Kenneth from "30 Rock."

If it's what I am thinking, I saw the commercial equating this word to certain other words the other night.  I completely agree with what you said.
