Babies: 3 - 6 Months

when will you/did you stop using the boppy?

Ds has been stretching his legs and pushing off the arm of the glider when I use it. Maybe it's time to retire it?

  • I still use it to feed DS on the couch, but not when I'm rocking him in the glider.

  • I ditched it when Nora was like 6 weeks old. It was just easier without it!

  • I only use it for tummy time or DH uses it as a neck pillow.

  • I always use it for breastfeeding.  It's perfect for us.  I don't plan on giving it up anytime soon.

  • I still use it when Ronan's sitting up playing, he occasionally likes to toss himself backwards and gets stuck because he can't sit up off something completely flat consistently yet, but he does fine with the cuddle-u there.

  • I use it to give both boys bottles at the same time, and I plan to until they can hold their bottles on their own.

This also! I hate feeding him without it.

  • I'm still using mine.  DS kicks off of the arm on the couch, but will only do it for a couple mins til he settles down.  It's just easier to have him at the same level as the food.  DH will take it or leave it when he's feeding a bottle.

  • I'm still using mine for BFing and also to help DS sit up.

When are you gonna get a patent and invent this? Because if there isn't one already you need to make one so I can buy it...

Yup. I didn't know there was a point when I was supposed to give it up...

I'm never giving this thing up! It's mine from now to eternity! Smile The only thing I use it for as far as DD goes is laying her on it on the couch next to me, but I don't think I can do that much longer - she's starting to push on her legs and pushes herself over the back of it.

But it's the greatest addition ever to my repertoire of bed pillows! I sleep on it every night now!

    STM due Feb. 2017!
  • I haven't used it for feeding since he was less than a month old.

Yes to all of this! I have both the Boppy and the My Brest Friend, and I quit using MBF about a month ago, because he started rolling off of it, but I'm sticking with the Boppy until I have a compelling reason to quit. I can maybe manage with just a regular pillow, but other than that, I'm clueless how to BF him without it.

  • I stopped when he was about 3 weeks old.

I used it with DD during tummy time, laying on her back, also it helped when she was learning to sit at 5 months and falling over and pulling to stand at 8 months. It would help her when she fall on her butt and then roll sideways and cry.

  • I use mine every time I nurse, otherwise I think my back would kill from bending over!

This. I finally got one around 3 wks and was like, why didn't I do this sooner!? And it was great for a couple of weeks, but soon I found it easier to go without it. Just sit DD on my lap and lean her back. But my SIL still uses it for her 9 m.o.
