Birthday Party Theme!

So we are starting to plan the boys' 1st and 3rd birthday party! We finally decided to do a combined party at Silly Monkeys Playhouse in Coconut Grove. The place has a huge wooden tree in the front (for pictures) so I think a theme in the "woods" would be nice. I'm looking at a Winnie the Pooh party! Invites would have a baby Pooh and Tigger (representing the 2 boys and their "friendship"). Any other ideas for a combined birthday? What themes are you ladies using for your kiddos party's?

    That's really cute Pooh and Tigger too!  What are they into?  Toy Story Buzz and Woody?  Yo Gabba Gabba?  Trains?  We're having a combined boy/girl part pirates and mermaids.

    For Spencer's 1st bday, we did a safari theme, and for his second we did Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.  Ava will have her own first bday party, but in a few years might combine them.  If we were to combine them, I would do:  Woody and Jesse, Pirates and Princesses, Mickey and Minnie...these are just some thoughts.  good luck!

    That's super cute, Lauraa  I don't have any suggestions. I'm considering either Mickey Mouse clubhouse or a Halloween theme for Elise's first bday party.

    Thanks for the input ladies!! It's hard to tell what Ethan is into just yet although he smiles when he sees Pooh, Elmo, and Mickey. lol Evan likes all of those characters too so I have some leeway. ;) I love the Pirates and Mermaids theme and Gena, all those combined themes sound great as well! I love Woody and Buzz theme but the boys aren't too into it just yet (if Clari is around, she can definitely use that some day! lol). Have a great Memorial Day everyone!

    Super cute!  Love all the details already.

    We are going to probe do a Mickey theme, as the boys love Micky Mouse Playhouse.  LOL

    We're doing Mickey Mouse Club house for J :) He's obsessed with the show so it seemed fitting!

    I also really love the Dr. Seuss theme.

    All our kiddos are Mickey's #1 Fan! :-) We did Mickey Mouse Clubhouse last year for Big E! ;) For his 1st it was a Monkey theme!

    I did Pooh for Alexis' 1st birthday too! It's a really cute theme!! 

    I did Mickey for her 2nd and Tinkerbell for her 3rd.

    I like the idea of being able to use Pooh and Tigger for both of them. I think it's great that you can combine birthdays!!! I'm in the minority opinion that the 1st birthday shouldn't be a big huge outrageous thing because they're too young to enjoy it yet so it's great that you can combine both of them!  

    Definitely lots of Mickey fans here!

     Thanks Leanna! :-) I debated at first because I felt bad that Evan had his own 1st birthday party...but it just doesn't make sense to have 2 parties if we are inviting the same people and there birthday's are less than 3 weeks apart! So we also thought a Pooh/Tigger brother/friend theme would be nice. Either way, we will sing separate Happy Birthday's to each and take separate/together pictures for memory. We are happy with the decision! :-)
