Do I need more than 1 Boppy cover?

First time mom with a registry question. I'm a registry stalker and noticed all my friends have registered for at least 2 boppy pillow covers. Do I need more than 1 i.e. one to wash and one to use? Or is 1 enough? TIA!

I only used one. If she spit up on it I would wipe it off and flip the Boppy over and wash it after she went to bed.

it was helpful for me to have 2. In the beginning I would nurse from 1 breast and leak all over the pillow from the other.

If you use the boppy a lot then yes, 2 is nice, but not required. I had two and used them both for the first few months, but i used the boppy multiple times per day/essentially every feeding and BM always dripped/leaked onto it, plus any spitup that happened occasionally.

ETA: I started with one and bought another when it was obvious I needed it.

I would recommend having at least 2 of the decorative covers. I also got the protective cover for underneath so I didn't have to worry about washing and drying the pillow.

I EBF and use my Boppy all of the time. I have only had to wash my boppy cover once because of a diaper blow out and then a few times because I noticed pet hair on it. I think 1 is plenty.

I'm a firm believer that two is better than one in this case. It doesn't hurt to have a back up. There are some days when I've reached my limit laundry-wise and if I didn't have a spare, well, that would suck! Just my two cents

I think the waterproof cover is more important than a second decorative cover. That cover has saved that pillow from many a blow outs!

Yes! DS blew out his diaper on our boppy before we even left the hospital, LOL.

We definitely needed the 3 we had.

I have two covers. One is still sitting in the drawer. never been used. I barely use my boppy though.

This. I keep a breast pad on the non-nursing breast, but I leak everywhere in the few seconds before she latches on.

I would register for 2 (one to use and one to wash). If you get 2, keep both. If you only get one, wait until baby is born to see if you want to buy another or not. BFing may not work out and you may only need one.

I've been told by several friends to get 2...we registered for 1 neutral one & were given a "boy" one in case we have a boy but if we have a girl, we plan to get a "girl" one for a 2nd option. (We're Team Green!). Oh, I lucked out though - I was given a boppy from a friend!! Smile

The waterproof cover seems like a good idea to have underneath along with one other spare boppy cover.

If you BF, I would say yes. We would wash ours once a week and always had an extra cover handy.. sometimes DD spit up on it too, so it was nice to have the spare.

I Had 3 covers because we used the boppy ALOT! Definitely loved the organic one, it was so soft!
