I don't need romance- I read WFE and loved it but not sure DH will enjoy it. He doesn't do mushy well. I see H2 isn't getting good reviews at all. Will DH find Bridesmaids humorous... like the first Hangover type funny?

My first choice would be Hangover 2. DH and I were hoping to go see it today on our day off, but H is sick so we're home watching Beauty and the Beast instead.
My little sister is a huge Hangover fan and has been waiting for H2 and went to see it at midnight the night it opened and she was super disappointed. Her words "I want to see it again maybe I missed the funny parts". I have heard great things about Bridesmaids though.
My fella and I saw Bridesmaids last weekend, and both thought the last third of the movie was super cheesy. In fact, the girl sitting next to me cried at one point. Or, suddenly got the sniffles and then got over them by the end. A (female) friend of his had told him it was as funny/funnier than Hangover 1, but he felt like that friend was a lying liar.
We're going to see Hangover 2 this weekend. I've heard it's pretty much just like the first movie, but in a different country, so I expect it to be entertaining.
I personally don't like chick flicks, so I wouldn't see W4E. (I read the book, so I don't see how it couldn't be a chick flick.)
DH saw Bridesmaids with me last weekend and thought it was pretty funny even though he's not a chic flick guy. It wasn't quite as guy friendly as the hangover but we both really enjoyed it.
I haven't seen any of the suggestions but would probably go for Bridesmaids. One of the critics I heard said that H2 was just like the first except in another country and replace the tiger with a monkey- she said it was very predictable and the 1st one was better.
DH loved bridesmaids until there was a very cheezy band moment at the end... but I appreciated it :-) I'd go for that... cheezy, fun humor.
Although we're going to see H2 tonight-- even with the bad reviews.

I don't know if I caught you in time but bridesmaids has a major throwup/ poo explosion scene in it that seemed to go on forrrreeevver. I don't know how badly it bothers you, but I thought I'd try to warn you!
We saw Bridesmaids and H2 and enjoyed both of them. I don't usually lol at many movies but I did during both of these. Yes, BM has cheesy parts but I just kind of go in to movies like that expecting it so it doesn't annoy me too much.
I think you're good to go on either.
