First IUI tomorrow!

Hello! This is my first time posting, but I've been reading a lot of posts on this board, and have been very thankful for the information I have found here. Just to introduce myself briefly, my name is Nicole, my husband (ftm) and I have been married just short of a year and this is the first month we are TTC. Tomorrow, in fact, is my first IUI, and DH and I are thrilled! I had an ultrasound this morning (CD11) and I had two follicles, one was 19mm and the other 12mm. I'll be doing the trigger shot tonight and IUI in the morning. I'm trying not to get my hopes up that it will work on the first try, but that is frustratingly hard to do :-)

 

IUI #1 (50 mg clomid and ovidrel) - BFN
IUI #2 (100 mg clomid and HCG trigger) - BFN
IUI #3 (Gonal-f and HCG trigger) - BFN
IVF #1 - 21 retrieved, 20 mature, 15 fertilized (ICSI), 2 d5 blasts transferred, 8 frozen - c/p
FET #1 - BFFN
FET #2 - BFN? c/p? Either way no baby
FET #3 - No shock...BFN
FET #4 - BFN :-(
Surgery and TTC cancelled - pursuing surrogacy

    Good luck and welcome! :) I want to do a trigger shot, but I am just using OPK's. Did you have that discussion with your doctor or was it automatically used?

    Thank you all for the well wishes! The entire experience this morning was great, easy and quite fast! My doctor is awesome, he didn't want us to waste any time, so he put me on clomid CD3-7, trigger shot last night and IUI this morning. I will also be taking progesterone starting on Sunday. I have felt very lucky and blessed that our doctor started me off with everything after reading so many stories about doctors requiring a certain number of cycles unmedicated, just with clomid, etc. before using a trigger shot. 

    So, I guess I'm officially in the TWW now! Now to attempt to keep myself busy....

    Goodluck let us know what happens. You will find out in two weeks. I did iui with my partner and it took the first time. I did a trigger shot too..
