Okay, so these contractions are no joke. I've been having contractions every few minutes for almost two weeks now, but they haven't been painful until yesterday. Yesterday they progressed from every 7 minutes to every 2-5 minutes, and transitioned from uncomfortable to painful. Our doula came over to help us try to progress things naturally since I had an induction scheduled for 7 A.M. this morning that I really didn't want.
After hours of painful contractions that were getting stronger, but not closer together, I decided to try to get some rest in case I did have to be induced at 7. I went to bed at about 1:30, but didn't sleep at all due to the contractions. I gave up on sleep at 4 and let DH sleep a while longer. Finally, at about 6:10, we were getting ready to head to the hospital for the induction and they called to ask us to wait for a phone call rather than coming in at 7. I guess the storms last night sent a lot of women into labour and they're super busy. So, for now, I'm sitting at home on the verge of tears and wishing very badly for an epidural. Bleh.

Re: Oh my freaking gosh.
Aw honey, I'm sorry you're in so much pain but YAY for not needing the induction after all!
Good luck today

This! From what you said, it sounds like you do not need an induction because you are in fact, in labor.
