I had been putting A on the Boppy Newborn Lounger when I showered but now that he can roll over, I'm feeling like it isn't a good idea anymore. My bathroom is too small for a PNP. I suppose I could put him in his carseat but he screams every time. Any other suggestions?
Re: What do you do with your baby when you shower?
E can usually entertain herself for about 10 mins, so lately she's been in her crib with the mobile going while I shower (she sleeps at night in the PnP in our room, so she doesn't see the mobile that often). Sometimes I come out and she's fussing, but sometimes Mommy needs to not smell like a foot.
This. I bring it in the bathroom so I can peek at her. Or I put her in her swing and leave the bathroom door open so I can hear if she is starting to fuss. But the bouncer is easier, because if she does start to fuss, I can usually get her to stop with her being right there. And sometimes the sound of the water running puts her to sleep.

I put his whale tub in the shower with me. He can splash and play and I can take nice long showers. Best mom idea I've had yet

It's not too hot for him? I wanted to try this, but I thought the water would be too hot.

I second the temperature question - whenever I use our baby bath thermometer thingies, it wants the water WAY too cool for what I would shower in. How do you peeps do it?
I have the FP RnP in our bathroom and buckle her into it when I shower - I just give her a binky and a stuffed animal and she's good for about 20 minutes.
When she was smaller, we used her bassinet in the bathroom for this purpose, but had to stop using that when she got more active (it would shake when she kicked around).
Bouncy chair would work well, too.
Bouncy seat with the toy bar going.
I used to wait until he was napping, but his morning nap can be really weird now... Plus I decided I'd rather have a cup of tea and chill during nap time now.
Like others above, if he's awake, I bring the bouncy seat in the bathroom for him. He loves to play with the hanging toys. If he fusses, which is rare, I can just poke my head out and as soon as he sees me he's fine.
If he's napping (usually in his swing), I set up the video monitor in the living room and take the handset with me. I check on him throughout my shower. If he wakes up, I rinse off & jump out as fast as possible.
Typically by the time the water gets to the bottom of the tub it is tepid to warm, no longer hot. Either way though, DD loves HOT showers and sitting in the hot tub... maybe it is because I boiled her by sitting in the hot tub while pregnant.
So long as it is not over hot to you, LO should be fine... Slowly introduce them to the water. If they jerk away or act uncomfortable, it is too hot.
