no way would I do that. I'd be tongue tied all day. I already have a hard enough time getting the right kid's name out and they're not even remotely close. To each his own though... Just seems hard.
I have an S name and so does my sister. I don't think they even realized. They adopted a dog last summer and named him Sambuca. Now they realize how dumb it was to name 3 of their "offspring" with the same letter.
It wasn't as bad as when they had a dog named Casey, which rhymes with my name.
I'm the only B in a sea of Js. I think siblings names are fine... I'd struggle we the first name/last name... too sing-songy. We ruled out all T names for that reason. But... That's just us. I probably wouldn't even notice if someone else did it.
I don't know that it's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. A lot of people do it, but it's definitely NOT my style. My neighbors when I was young all had first names that started with the letter M (the parents too). Even when I was young I thought it was a little silly sounding. To each his/her own I suppose.
My mom and her sisters are Sharon, Shelly, and Sheri and their last name starts with an S as well. Thankfully, my grandmother didn't do this to the boys. I think it's obnoxious and it would drive me crazy to have to say those names all day long. But I may find it obnoxious because my mom hated it growing up!

I love the names Maren and Molly. But, I'd get tripped up on all those M's. How are you supposed to yell at the right kid if you can't get the right name out?!

It's a *bit* much with an M last name. We are all M's (much to my husband's dismay), but our last name starts with a different letter. I absolutely LOVE the name Maren but DH hates it.
I'm in the to each their own but I call my two kids who are totally different genders each others' names all the time and don't start w/ the same letter. DD's first name and last name start w/ the same letter but a whole heard of kids would be kind of a mess to say. Interesting for sure and in a way this is kind of "them".

That is going to get so ridiculous when they start school. NMS!
DD and her future siblings and cousins will likely all be at the same JH and HS... and they are all/will be all L. Smith's........ Probably 4 L. Smiths at similar times.
I have a twin sister and I've always been grateful to not have a matching name to hers. It was hard enough creating my own identity when we were growing up and in school together, having a matchy name would've only made it worse.

I don't love it AT ALL.
DH is adamant that we must. Our names that we liked before finding out that DD was a girl were both L names, so now he wants to do ONLY L names....
Ugh.
That would confuse me!! My boys both have B names and I get all tongue tied. We didn't intend to have 2 B names we just liked those names the best
My kids both have the same initials - TAC (but my DS goes by his middle name).
LO#3 will be named after DH (DH is jr, LO will be a "third")
If LO#3 was a girl, we probably would have used the same initials again...
