San Diego Babies

Live in Temecula, work in SD, where should daycare be?

Hello,

So I currently live in Temecula Valley but both my husband and I work in San Diego, we're thinking of putting our little one in daycare in San Diego but don't want her to be in the car for that long with us each day.

Then we thought of putting her up in Temecula but most daycares are closed at 6pm and on some days, we don't get home until 7pm. Any suggestions?

  • sound like sd is your best bet or maybe some where in between. also thinking that traffic wouldnt be as bad later.

  • I don't know any facilities but you might try somewhere in Escondido which isn't that long of a haul from Temecula if you take 15.

  • You'll need to check daycare policies, because some facilities don't allow infants after a certain time of day ( 4 or 5 etc).  The center I worked for only allowed infants from 8 am to 4 pm...and even that is a long day for a baby in daycare!
  • I would put the baby in day care in San Diego. Mostly because I would want them close to where I am in case of an emergency.

I second this!  We live in Oceanside, but DH works in Corona and I work in SD.   The commute might not be fun, but I want the baby with me in SD in case of an emergency.  I say keep the baby close to where you are.

  • I would recomend using a daycare close by where you or your husband work so if your daycare calls you for some reason it wont take you that long to get there.
