So, it looks like we'll be renting awhile longer and I'm actually fine with it. I loved the house but there is always something better and we were not willing to pay what the sellers think it should be worth. They declined our best and final offer and let us know what they would accept if we wanted to make another offer but we do not.
Our agent said he'd call us if they freak out when they realize we were really ok with walking away and change their minds but I'm not holding my breath.
At least now we can continue our plan of paying off the last little bit of debt and build up savings while we have fun continuing the search. ![]()

Awwww, what a bummer but I agree with Joe, there's always another house!
Great for you guys, knowing what your best/final offer is and sticking to your guns, that's really hard to do and people can get sucked into buying something outside of their means. You guys are going to find THE perfect house one of these days, I know it!
