Just found out baby is breech at 36 weeks. Dr. wants to give it another week, and then try to flip him if he has not done it on his own. Has anyone had that procedure done?? Has anyone else's baby flipped on his own??
He is healthy other than his positioning, so I am not that worried. I just hate that this birth got more complicated!
Re: Anyone else carrying breech??
As of last Monday (35 weeks 1 day), my baby girl is breech also. My Dr thinks its unlikely she'll turn on her own, and she said we can try the flip but there are risks to the baby. I had a friend do the flip (which she said was extremely painful), just to have him turn back around. After a long labor, she ended up with a C-section. If my Dr thinks its the safest, best option, I am okay scheduleding a C if I have to.
I hope we both get good news at our appts next week and dont have to worry about this!
My LO finally turned but I have seen others recommend https://www.spinningbabies.com/
Good luck!
i'm in the same boat
i have a consult with the dr to talk about an external version, but i'm leaning towards not (just mother's intuition... i feel like he's up for a reason) he still has some time but my midwife said that it's a slim chance.
i should note that i'm MUCH more comfortable with a C than your average gal ( i saw my mom have one with my little brother when i was 18. she had 4 Cs and bounced right back with washboard abs and is a size 4. go ahead.. you can hate her lol!)
My baby is transverse. My doctor recommended against an inversion so I'm doing everything I can to get him to move. Spinningbabies and an ice pack and floating in the tub (wish I had a pool, lol). I'm driving over an hour away tomorrow to a chiro who does the Webster Technique and I ordered moxa sticks (you burn them near an acupressure point on your little toe and it's supposed to get the baby to move). I'm probably going overboard but I am willing to try anything to avoid surgery.
Here's some info on moxabustion for anyone interested. I ordered sticks from Amazon and they were really cheap.

When my friend first told me about it I thought "Oh, that is some real hippie sh*t", lol, but I looked it up and there have been a couple of clinical studies done on it. There's a link to the abstract of one of them in this article.
My baby girl is also breech. I was told that I could have a version done, but that it wasn't recommended because from the ultrasound , the amount of fluid and my tight stomach- my doctor didn't think it would be successful.
So, I'm scheduled for a c-section June 10th.
I went in for an U/S last friday and baby B was breech someone recommended ^^^ spinning babies and I tried it ...and guess what my U/S today showed that now theyre both head down....
you should give it a try all I did was put my knees on the couch and rest my elbows on the floor and let gravity do the rest did it a couple times for a couple days and Im glad I did... GL
Ohhhh and it also helped momentarily take the pressure off my pelvis due to baby A being deep in there
