WWYD? Leaking cieling.

Wind blew a few shingles out of place in these storms. So now our roof is leaking. Well it just happens that it is leaking into a walk way through a light in the cieling. DH wont be home for another hour or so. Would you do anything or just leave it untill H gets home. I have never been in the attic and it is not very people friendly up there. As of now I just have a pan cetching the water. Should I be doing something about it? I'm just kinda worried because its coming through the light.

We had the same issue before we had our new roof put on. Other than turning off the breaker there isn't much you can do unless you can get a bucket to catch water in the attic.

I, myself, would wait for DH to get home.

I would call DH and see if he can come home early or turn off that breaker and wait. I am ok with climbing in the ceiling, but not when I am home by myself with LO. Then no-one can call for help if something goes wrong.
