WTF appointment update,..

Well, things did not goes as well as I thought. It SUCKS that money is stopping us from growing out family. My dr must've Bren having a bad day - our appt was 45 minutes late - they're NEVER behind. He just seemed rushed. We talked about the why? No one knows. Just embryo issue. Next step: need to do another fresh cycle. No money for that. BUT my husbands ins covers IUIs - dr didnt give us much hope but said he would do it. Last SA my husband had was in 2007 so things could have changed since then - for the worse or for the better. We are goin to do one IUI next month, do the SA at the same time and then ,... Go from there.
I guess I wanted to go in and hear the dr say, "if this is what your insurance covers, then let's give it 150% and try our best.". Not, we'll do it but u mat as well try on your own. Well, buddy, we've been doing that for THREE years.
I'm over this. Over these feelings. And this phase of my life. Over. It.
Wife for 6 years. Mommy to Reese, 3, after IVF. IUI #1 5/07 = BFN. IVF #1 7/07 = BFP (Reese :-)) FET #1 7/10 = BFN. FET #2 4/11 = BFN. IUI #2 9/11 = BFN. IUI #3 (with donor sperm) 11/11 = BFN.
IVF with DE 5/12 = BFP! Beta #1 = 222. Beta #2 = 613. First u/s 6/9 due to bleeding and cramping = saw one beautiful baby! EED 2/3/13 M/C on 6/12/12 at 6 weeks. At a crossroads with our next steps...

Aw hun.... I'm sorry. That sux. It seems like he would have given you some sort of chance with an aggressive IUI protocol.
It sems like they never have an answer at those WTF appts. It is all about next steps.

The RE that I did my IUIs with gave us virtually zero chance of them working and said "but if you want me to take your money I will." Yea, way to instill hope and confidence, but at the same time, I think she didn't want us to be too disappointed when it didn't work. She was pushing for us to do another fresh IVF but we too couldn't afford that.
Low and behold, our second IUI (femara with follistim) worked. I think the RE was even more surprised than we were.
I hope you end up with a similar result.
