because he's at work and me and DD want to play! haha really I just want to take DD swimming, but being as it would be the first time, I don't want him to miss it.

I tell him he needs to work more, but then get mad when he's not home to hang out. Mixed signals much? Stick out tongue

    I bet your DH feels bummed about missing stuff, too. Before DS, I couldn't get DH to take a day off when he had one foot in the grave (bronchitis/pneumonia). Now, he'll randomly take "Daddy-Son days" but he has to work even longer shifts the rest of the week to cover it. He hates it. I hate it too. As much as I want him home, though, we're both doing what we have to do in order to provide for DS and I don't want to scoop some more guilt on him.

    If only we had a secret benefactor that would allow DH and me to stay home and play with DS while the benefactor continued to pay our bills!!! **sigh**
