Hi ladies. I'm due in October and plan to be a SAHM. I'm planning on BF exclusively. I would like to let DH feed LO too. Do I really need a pump? Manual? Electric? Double? GAH!
Please let me know what worked for you.

Sorry, it wasn't in the FAQ and searching doesn't work on my computer.
I was considering double electric but wasn't sure if spending the money was really necessary. It seem frivolous to me... it's purely for convenience. Pretty sure my Mom didn't have one! I guess I need convincing that it's really worth it!

umm convenience with a newborn/infant/crawler goes a very long way.
there are a lot of very reasonably priced double electric pumps. A lot of people rave about the Ameda (i belive) and Lansinoh pumps
That being said- I have a Medela PISA- even though I am a SAHM- Gisele had a TON of problems latching and nursing- so I wound up pumping exclusively for her. I pumped for a a full year. Chase nurses really well- so I only pump on occasion with him- however I could NEVER see myself even with a GOOD nurser- using a manual pump. Would just take WAY too long- especially with two mobile babies- time is NOT on my side.
I would say yes, you want a pump. I strongly believe in BF babies being able to take a bottle in case you need to leave them. I also pumped regularly so my LOs could have a bottle of pumped BM before bed. My supply wasn't the greatest, especially at night and that way, I could pump a few times to get them enough for a big bottle before bed.
I had the Lansinoh double electric pump. Not as expensive as the Medela but a lot nicer than some of the cheap ones out there. I'd say even if you only plan on pumping once a day, you want a good pump. I loved the Lansinoh. It actually started to work funny after almost a year of using it so I contacted Lansinoh and they sent me a new one for free! Definitely would recommend them.
Double electric. No question. I had the Medela pump in style too. I used it for both my kids, about a year each. Very reliable pump and worked everytime.
Definitely double electric. I followed bad advice saying I didn't need one since I was staying home. Like I had a staff here to hold the baby while I pumped! I would not buy a pump until after the baby gets here.

Re: BF mamas - Question about pumping
This gets asked a lot on here-
Most will say double electric.
I don't think you necessarily need to go out and spends 300+ on a pump- however a double electric will definitely save you a lot of time with pumping.

A double electric breast pump (Medela PISA) was my most prized baby item with both kids. But I like to get out a lot
ETA - Manual pumps suck, I tried one and threw it out, it was completely worthless
