I am sorry if this question has been asked (and i am sure it has). My 3 1/2 month old is having a lot of trouble napping. I swaddkem nurse him, hold him, rock him until he is asleep then i put him down for a nap. He will sleep anywhere from 2 mins-45 mins. If i hold him for a nap he will sleep 1.5 hours-3 hours! I would love to hold him for all of his naps but i work from home and will have to put him in daycare if he doesn't get better. MY MIL said i need to let him cry but i don't think we are ready for Ferber yet (if ever). He is a very high need guy. Any advice?
Re: Nap issues
Have you tried wearing him for a nap? S has trouble with naps sometimes, and I'll wrap him up and bounce on the exercise ball or walk around so he'll sleep. Bouncing on the ball also allows me to be on the computer without him waking from me being still (not sure what kind of work you do).
Or have you tried rocking him back to sleep when he wakes up after a short period of time? This sometimes works for us, and DS will sleep for another hour (!!).
