DD is turning 5. She wants a surprise party and she wants a baby and mommy theme. I ask each child to bring a doll and a doll stroller and I was thinking we could do a "treasure hunt" walk with the baby dolls and I could hide "treasures" for the kids and their babies from the dollar store along the walking path. DD has camp that morning, so I could hide the things that morning in neighbors yards along the route that I know.
Any other ideas for how to make a baby and mommy theme party?
Re: Birthday help please!
Such a cute theme!
Here are some ideas I found on a quick blog search:
A doll party
Dolly tea party
Kate Landers Events - for inspiration
I'd do a picnic/tea party theme. Put out a huge blanket outside with finger foods.
What a darling theme! Sounds like so much fun for little girls.
Are they old enough for games like a change-the-baby's-diaper fastest game? The first to finish could win a prize. They could race (w/ baby in stroller) from point A to point B, change diaper at point B, then race back to point A.
You could also borrow from baby shower ideas. Fill a baby bottle w/ candy (if that will fly w/ the other moms - maybe a small bottle) and let them guess the number of pieces - the closest gets to keep it.
Oh, depending on how many guests, buy some cheap white onesies in newborn sizes and let them decorate them w/ puff paint/etc for their babies?
