I opened up facebook and was shocked when I found pics of grandma's house.
I know that my uncles told me that her house was destroyed, but I just kept thinking in my head, "Well, if Grandma as IN the house, and she's alright, then it can't be that bad..."...um, I guess I was wrong!
You can see the front door to the house, there is a wall directly to the left of the door and that's where the bathroom with no winow was, and so grandma got in that bathtub. To the right of the door was the living room and the kitchen was in the back. The two back bedrooms have standing walls, and a lot of keepsakes were back there, so I am hoping my uncles are able to get as much out of those rooms as they can.
This was the garage, and that door leads to the kitchen, but as you can see, there is a tree in it!
I have been so thankful that grandma is okay, but seeing these pictures just really makes me think of the gravity of the situation that she was in and it makes me cry all over again! I am definitely counting my blessings that she's alright!

So glad she is ok! Growing up in tornado alley I learned a long time ago... all that is just stuff... yes its your home.. and your belongings.. but its just stuff... what matters most is your safe and you still have your family.
It will be a long struggle but I am so glad she is safe and sound! Lots of T&P with her and your family as they sift through the rubble
Your grandmother is one lucky lady! I'm go glad she's OK. T&Ps to you and your family as you try to gather as many memories / possessions as you can and to rebuild!

Hadley, I just wanted to say that I'm so happy your grandma made it through ok. I can't even imagine how frightening that must be to experience!
