I start my first round of Femara on Saturday. Any tips for when to take it (morning, before bed, with or without food) to help lessen any side effects? Thanks!

I take mine in the morning but my doctor says taking it at night before bed is better because you'll sleep through the side effects mostly. My only side effects are slight cramping and slight headache and it makes me sleepy. The only reason I take it in the morning is because that is when I take all of my other pills and if I didn't take it then, I would definitely forget to take it before bed. I've never been told to take it with food so unless it seems to upset your stomach I wouldn't worry about having to do that.

I honestly haven't had any side effects. I take it at night though. But with the Clomid- the hot flashes would wake me up in the middle of the night. Good luck!

I take mine at night and my biggest side effect was headaches. They were awful, but I think that's pretty unusual. Most people don't have many side effects from Femara at all. Good luck!
I was instructed to take mine at night too, around 8:15 pm. I don't take it with food or anything. I did not notice any s/e, but I was only on just femara for 2 days before the follistim shots started.

I'm on two 2.5mg tabs.. CD 3 and 4 I took one in the morning and one at night. When I called my Dr to make my u/s apt the nurse said something like, "Oh ok, you're on Femara 2 tabs taken together." I just agreed and moved on. Really it shouldn't make a difference but I started taking them together starting CD 5. Once I did that I got a few hot flashes but that was it.

I take mine in the morning with breakfast. I don't have any s/e with Femara, but Clomid KILLS me. Hopefully, you won't notice any side effects. IMO, Femara is a "nicer" drug.

I took mine at night right before bed. Doc said this way I could sleep through side effects (like others have said as well). Honestly I don't remember having any side effects. I had an alarm set on my phone to remind me to take it.

I took mine in the morning and never had any side effect at all. I didn't notice anything different. I thought it was easier in the morning after I ate breakfast.
