Headaches, anyone?

Anyone else experiencing more headaches than normal? I am not overly concerned b/c they are pretty mild, nothing I would even take pain killers for if I wasn't pregnant,  (and my BP and urine have been fine at all my doc appts) but they do seem to be more frequent. Anyone else? I kinda feel like I'm back in 1st tri again...headaches and fatigue (I was one of the lucky ones who didn't get MS.)

My life has a superb cast but I can't figure out the plot.
  • I get them A LOT.

I went from drinking a pot or two of coffee a day, to 1-2 cups every couple days. So I have been getting caffeine withdraws, on top of my already lovely migraines (pre-pregnancy related).

If you do not want to take anything, I suggest a small cup of coffee or a half a soda. That usually helps me, as I try to not take any Tylenol unless I REALLY need it.

  • I'm sorry you're all dealing with them too but glad to know I'm not the only one...I don't drink (much) coffee or soda and I don't really want to take anything...but they definitely aren't bad. I've had much worse (and did earlier in the pregnancy) so I can handle these w/o anything, as long as they aren't a sign of something worse.

  • Yes everyday.  I had them worse with my first dd.  Last time they started at week 12 and lasted my entire pregnancy for several hours on an off all day.  This time, they started at 16 weeks and come and go mostly everyday, but they are short like maybe only 5 minutes to 15 minutes.  My BP and urine are fine too, it's those lovely hormones.

  • I have been getting both pressure headaches and migraines, which are accompanied by migraine auras, which are awful. They last up to 3 days.
  • I get them mostly when I wake up in the morning.  I think they are directly related to not sleeping well and not getting enough water the day before.  The doc recommended that I drink a gallon of water a day and I've noticed that if I don't drink at least 1/2 gallon, then I'll get headaches....guess it's from dehydration.  They aren't bad, but definitely make me aware that my head is there!
