My dr is such an azzzzz.

I had my first app. today. My dr is such an Ass. When we walked in he said "wow you guys got lucky! Let's hope it lasts!" Who the heck says that????? He makes me want to punch him in the face. The US showed what he expected, and he shooed us out the door as fast as he could. I had to ask him is exercise, and sex is ok (on the way out) and he looked at me like I was a big idiot and said "Um, no. Not until at least 10-12 weeks." HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO KNOW THESE THINGS??

Ah!!!!!!!! So he did not say how far along I was measuring, what my EDD is, what I should eat or not eat, or anything. We timed the appointment, it was SEVEN minutes. SEVEN! And it cost us $300.

We are stuck with him for now, then we will see if we can graciously go to a new dr after the first trimester, since we are still being treated by him and he is the ONLY  specialist in the country. 

I will post my US picture in a new thread I don't to soil our first baby picture by putting it in a thread about that man. (And he has a soul patch! The rule should be if you are sticking you hands in women's vaginas you should not have a soul patch! )

    That sounds horrible. I'd be running from that practice as fast as I could. Sorry it didn't go so well.

    I hope second tri brings a much better doctor for you!

    Three words : OMG. lol. I hope you are able to find someone else. It taints the experience whenever it seems like the doc doesn't care.

    For $300 & 7 mins you should have been able to punch him in the face! Hopefully your getting all the nightmarish stuff out of the way up front - tons of great resources on line and in this board if you have questions :) Hope the next appointment is better.

    I am so sorry!  What a jerk-off.  Hopefully you will be able to move on soon to another doctor.  I can't believe he didn't give you any "care" instructions.

    I'm also surprised he said no sex for the first 10-12...my OB said it's perfectly fine unless I'm bleeding and then I shouldn't because of risk of infection.  Go figure.

    He said since I am cramping no sex. He also said no flu shot, that surprised me.
