Pretend Trips? really?

I have a niece who's 12 weeks older than Harry and Alex. She's on the small side so she doesn't really look that much bigger than the boys. But she is definitely more advanced in her gross motor skills (as she should be).

MIL rarely watches all 3 of them together, but apparently when she does, she tells people they are trips! OMG, there is a faker in my family! Not to mention this poor little blond blued eyed girl looks nothing like my half asian babies!

Ha! I am sure people don't even question it. We have friends that we met in the NICU whose son was born on the same day as my boys. Anytime we all hang out, we get asked repeatedly if the all three are triplets. Their son is half Korean. My boys are blond-ish and look absolutely nothing like him so I really don't get it but it happens all.the.time.

Lol. Maybe she does what I do and just agree to get away. People ask me if my 6yr old is a triplet to my 5yr olds. When they were younger I would say no and a few times had people say things like "are you sure?" seriously? Yes Im sure I had this one 1 YEAR before these 2. lol I also had a lady say she still thought they were trips even after I told her they werent. She honestly thought I was lying to her.

So a few times I have just said yes and continued on my way. Easier to agree than explain the age difference etc.

my friend had her DS 1 month to the day after i had mine. we went to cracker barrel for my 20th b-day (she's a year younger than me too btw) and she lives 4 hrs away from where i used to live, so when i got to see her it was a big deal. ne way, my b-day was the first time i met her LO and the first time she met mine. so it was a pretty awesome b day none the less. ANYWAY.people were asking us if they were trips. and her DS is this fat chunky looking NOTHING at all like my 2. i mean okay it's not quite as drastic as the asian thing, but it's still a drastic chane. some ppl crack me up.

That is really weird. She must be an AW. Anyway as far as your niece not looking like your kids, take a look at my siggy. My boys are half Vietnamese and DS3 has light hair and blue eyes. Never thought that would happen.

ha-ha maybe it is just easier for her to say they are triplets then have to explain who is who...and we all know she is probably getting asked wherever she goes!

But you better make sure she does not have a bump sign-on just in case ;-)

This just made me laugh so hard. My best friend is 1/2 Japanese and I can't imagine someone trying to pass off her children with and blondie as a trip-to funny! If it's THAT obvious hopefully she is just trying to be funny.
