Cross fingers for my DH too...

Long background: DH and I owned a business for 4 years before our business partner walked out on us and we had to shut down.  DH joined a local union in Texas after (he's an electrician) and had great pay and benefits.  I got an office job and it was fantastic.  6 months later, the union did layoffs and DH was out of work.  4 months later, I was 3 months pregnant with DS and my company shut down.  DH got recruited to work for Northrop Grumman shipbuilding here in Louisiana, so we packed everything up over Christmas and moved from Houston to just outside of New Orleans.  The recruiting company are a bunch of a*sholes and didn't inform us that NG was going on a "freeze" (whatever that means), and DH never started working for them before they shut down.  He managed to get a job with the local cable company and has been working for them since February, but it's an up-and-down type of job with 14+ hour days, 6 days a week, and the pay is NOT commiserate with the scope of work.  He met a gentleman while working on his house who mentioned he needed a project manager to start this year for some big construction projects across the country.  We didn't get too excited but DH kept in touch with him via email.  Yesterday, the guy called and said he has a 1+ year project starting in 2 weeks just outside of Myrtle Beach, and wants DH to meet him tomorrow with the other owner of the company to discuss the work and salary, etc.

If this job comes through, not only is it something that DH will enjoy doing (he's 37 and tired of switching jobs), it would move us closer to my family in Virginia, and I could actually stay with my parents until we were able to get a place to live up there of our own.  Since DH will work out of town for the most part, LO and I could be living near my family and friends and DH can come home on weekends.  I've been away from home for 8 years and now that we have a LO, nothing would make my family (and I) happier than to be closer.

Please send T&P and cross fingers that this actually works out!!
