they want to close July 1. We don't have a new house to buy or a place to rent. I'm 15 weeks pregnant and will have to somehow figure out how to pack and move and put things in storage. and i will somehow do this in 4.5 weeks while also attending a shower in my best friend's home town, planning and hosting my best friend's other shower, sending my husband off on a pre-planned boys golf trip and another work trip, going out of town for memorial day and taking care of a toddler in the meantime.
i guess i shouldn't be surprised that it's 3:45 and I can't sleep.... but it sure would be welcome at this point.
Re: vent:rough/scary/exciting week
I'm so sorry about your family dog. It was so fast
And the house stuff is just plain stressful. I've moved a lot in my life (prior to having a child) and it's always made me an insomniac. It's a lot to process and it's a lot of work to coordinate. But take deep breaths. July 1st is a little more than a month out and a lot can happen in a month!
What a whirlwind for you. I hope you and your family can spend some quality time together this upcoming weekend. Sounds like you could certainly use it!
So sorry about your dog.
Do you think you could have a little get-together with friends or family to help you pack? Like a moving party. Hope everything works out for you!
I am so sorry about your dog. It's so hard to lose a pet.
Congrats on getting your house sold but I know the rest will be stressful. I feel your pain. We moved 6 weeks before I was due. We moved out of state and for 2 months I lived in our old house with my 3 year old while my dh started his new job and looked for a house. It was almost impossible for me to pack...working full time and being the only caregiver at that point for our 3 year old...and being enormously pregnant.
I ended up having my mom come stay with me a few different times. She would help with my dd and help pack during the day while I was at work. On weekends my dh would come back and help pack. The last week there, he brought my dd with him and I stayed to finish up packing and have the movers do the rest. I would just start packing up stuff now that you know you don't need...winter clothes and such. Just do a little at a time. You have over a month so you have some time to pack stuff up. Good luck.
