I'm going to keep it simple - I don't know that there are any dishes from the fussy restaurants I've been to that I'd make a repeat visit for. They were all tasty, but I'd probably end up getting something different. Although I do LOVE the fried lobster tail at Chops...
1. Sushi (any of it) from Nakato (Cheshire Bridge Rd.)
2. Brisket tacos from Taqueria del Sol
3. Veggie plate from Eats (on Ponce)
4. Pad Thai from Little Bangkok (Cheshire Bridge Rd.)
5. Dim Sum from Royal China (Chamblee Dunwoody Rd.)
Lil' G was born April 25, 2008!
Big C was born September 28, 2011!
I'm way to indecisive to come up with my favorites..but here are some good ones. Also I would say all are pretty child friendly. We've taken James there a lot.
1. Po Boys at Crawfish Shack (Buford Hwy& Dresden)
2. Shrimp and Pork Green Papaya Salad at Chateau Saigon - or anything else on the menu! (Buford Hwy & Dresden)
3. Halim Soup at Panahar (Buford Hwy & N. Druid) - love their stuff..and BYOB w/ no corkage fee
4. Nan's Pizza at Varasano's (Peachtree Rd near Piedmont Hospital)
5. Firecracker Beef or Tangerine Chicken at Pyng Ho (Clairmont & N. Decatur)
No particular order and these are just some of my favorites:
1. cheesy mashed potatoes and filet - NY Prime (dh loves their banana cream pie too)
2. pancakes from Ria's Bluebird Cafe
3. shrimp and grits from south city kitchen
4. crab ball from Bacchanalia - you can actually buy these at star provisions and cook them yourself. It's super easy and you can buy them alone or with all the fixings that Bacchanalia puts with it. Super yummy!
5. Cobb Salad from Yeah burger
6. Hushpuppies from Local Three - I usually don't like hushpuppies but these are AWESOME!
Forgot, the new big thing is the food trucks. I highly recommend going to one of their events. We've had some good food from these food trucks. And the King of Pops is awesome popiscles. You can see them here on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/ATLStreetFood
