Summer babies

Warning, this may be a stupid question.. What do summer babies need to wear?  Hailey was born in January, so all I know is long sleeves/pants/layers/footed pjs/winter stuff for newborns. I know newborns typically need 1 more layer than adults.  DD #2 is due July 7th. Would short sleeved onesies and light weight pants work? Or does she need long sleeves? What about pjs?  We've gotten several cute bloomer/shirts sets as gifts. How long before she can wear those? Just trying to figure out what I can leverage from Hailey's old baby clothes (which are all winter) and what I need to buy. Thanks ladies!

    Colin was July 14th and he wore, short sleeve onesies and socks outside or in the car seat going out. At home in the AC he wore light zip up sleepers w/ onesie underneath. I made sure to have plenty of blankets handy so that if we were out and about but going to say a restaurant I'd have a blanket for over the car seat. They sweat A LOT in the car seat so light with blanket layers is the best.  HTH.

    Both of my boys were August babies, and they both lived in short sleeved onesies and sleeveless rompers for the first few months. When they slept I put them in thin footed pj's. I would think she could wear the bloomer/shirt sets immediately (or as soon as she fits into them).

    Emma lived in short sleeved onesies, short sleeved rompers, and sundresses/sunsuits.  I put socks on her as well.  We swaddled her, so she was never in more than a shortsleeved "something" and the miracle blanket.  If we went out, I made sure I had a receiving blanket handy just in case.  She was hot natured though, and footie pajamas would have made her sweat.

    Bailey was born June 14th. During the day he wore short sleeve oneies or one piece short outfits. At night he wore, the long sleeve with mitten gowns from target. They are really thin and he also had on a sleeveless sleep sack. He was a hot natured baby and still is. There is no way i could have put him in long sleeves or pants during the day. He would have been miserable.

    Isaac is EXTREMELY hot natured (he had a heat rash from July through October) and I gave up on everything except onesies.  I didn't even match shorts with them.  Just onesies.

    Derek was born June 30th and he wore mainly onesies, even at night because he was and still is hot natured. We'd put socks on him if we went somewhere and always had a light blanket with us just in case. After the onesie and swaddle, he was plenty warm.
