f you're at home with your LO all day... a very attatched LO and you EBF, what do you do with LO while you pump? DD is in her jumpy right now but not extremely excited (i just finished pumping)oh and why do you pump? im doing it to keep my supply up and to have some for whenever she's babysat by my mom or so i can use it in her cereal and stuff later.last question- how many times a day do you pump? .
Re: if you EBF & pump
With my boys, while I pumped they either were in their swing, sleeping, or just chillin' out in their crib/bassinet.
I pumped to keep the supply up and whenever I had that "let down" feeling, which would happen when the babies weren't hungry too, I'd pump and store it in the fridge. I would take the milk I pumped so DH could feed them when he'd get home from work, or when I'd have to go run errands and stuff.
I can't remember how many times a day I'd pump. It was whenever my milk would "let down" and I the babies weren't hungry. I pumped in the middle of the night too. We had a pretty good supply going. : )
I pumped because it was super important to me (and encouraged by my H) to have time away from the LO's - a night out with friends, a weekend away and also I have season tickets to the Eagles, so during football season I am away pretty much all day for home games
With DS, it was easy - I would do it during naps or just put him in his bouncy and he would watch. With DD, she had a monthlong stretch where she was sleeping until 8 and DS got up at 7:30. So I would wake up at 7 and pump. I created a huge stash just by doing that.
DS 3.12.08
DD 7.11.09
