White shirts that have yellowed. Help!

I dug out some gorgeous shirts that belonged to DD#1, so that DD#2 could wear them this summer....however, some of them have yellowed.

I love Oxy Clean powder for stains, but it did squat for the yellow tinge!

    Mix the Oxy powder with warm water in a bucker or sink.  Soak the shirts for a day or two (or longer).  It will eventually come out.  I've done this with some very yellowed curtains and once got a red wine stain out of a brand new shirt of DH's this way.  I had to soak the shirt for like 3 or 4 days (I think I changed the water/oxy solution once) but it came out eventually.  good luck

    Try RIT whitener or color removed (but only if they are pure white). We have rusty water and it helps get our whites back.

    I agree with the oxyclean soak.  What will make it even better is to lay it in the sun to dry.  The sun will bleach out any additional yellow.
