Trouble TTC

Frozen Sperm...FML

I just talked to my IVF nurse. DH froze a sample before he had surgery as a "back up" because after surgery- he's not able to take all the meds he was on before (Clomid/Arimidex). She said in 6 vials of sperm- there was only enough good sperm for do ICSI on 18 eggs. Crying

I know 18 is a lot, but I guess I just hoped that the sample would be much better than that after being on the meds for 6 months and having a much improved SA 4 months deep. So much for haivng a back up...

  • I'm sorry Hon ((big squishy hugs))

But like PP stated, 18 eggs is a lot so don't count yourself out and this is the back-up, right?

So it possible that with his surgery he may have a better count when it's time for IVF?

I'm using your glass 1/2 full theory Yes  I have all the hope in the world for you that this will work out right!

There is a chance that with his weight loss, that things could improve so I know I'm not totally dependent on the back up sample, I guess I was just delusional in thinking that things would get easier.

We have a whole year to wait so who knows what will happen between now and then anyway.
