I am sitting here balling my eyes out. DS has screamed the entire time he is awake for the last 2 days. The doctor told me to give him cereal because he was eating 45 to 48 ounces a day, well his tummy is now so upset (he had 2 tbsp of cereal 1 time a day for 4 days) that he balls up and screams in pain. I havent heard of anyone being allergic to oatmeal but he has to be it is breaking my heart that I cant help him. To top it off my house is a disaster and I have company coming tomorrow morning. Only 2 hours of sleep last night I am at my wits end. Thanks for letting me vent

    I'm so sorry. : (

    Everytime E cries like that I have to fight down the urge to sprint to the ER with her. It just sounds like she's in so much pain.

    I'm sorry, that sounds horrible. My DS was extremely fussy and would cry/scream most days out of the week all day. So I know the frustration of not being able to help them feel better. He's just finally coming out of it as we've been trying different things with BM/formula. I hope he starts to feel better soon. Sorry I don't have any advice, just understanding. It will get better!

    Been there and it sucks, so sorry!  I had the same advice given to me about solids and it never helped a bit.  I'd just keep giving him bottles when he's hungry, especially since it looks like he's not handling the solids well.  It'll get better!

    (P.S.  No one is a superwoman. Your guests should totally understand you have an infant and can't play maid all day.)

    maybe break up the feedings with the cereal..my pedi told me to give 1 tablespoon in the mis morn and the other around dinner,,,maybe its just too much for his tummy at once.
