I actually ended up renting both and decided to go with the gemini b/c the LO can face out and he loves it. We ended up finding a gemini that was slightly used for 30 dollars off and it looked brand new in the box and its great. good luck choosing.
Don't have one, but I'm trying to decide between the two. The butterfly is technically rated to a higher weight and has an inside panel between you and the baby that makes placing the carrier+child on your back much easier. Some people say front-facing-carry is too much stimulation for a young baby.

I don't know where you can find a discounted one, maybe amazon? But everywhere I have seen that has them (online mainly) they are between $130-$140... We have the Gemini, DD loves facing outward, so I am glad I decided on this one over the Butterfly II.
I debated between the two for months and ended up with the Butterfly. I got it for $119, which was the best price I could find online. I liked that it had the internal carrier, so I thought I might feel more secure with it. (I had a Moby wrap and never felt very confident wearing it with DD1).
You might search for discontinued fabrics/patterns--those tend to be a little cheaper since the new fabrics are coming out.
