Ok, so Simon has 4 bottles of formula a day since I totally weaned him about a month ago. He has a bottle upon waking, 11 AM, 3 PM, and before bed. About 6 oz each.
So last week on Thursday I started replacing the 3 PM bottle with a sippy of WCM. He's done great with it, loves it, so yesterday I decided to go for it and replace the 11 AM bottle too. So for 2 days he's had sippys of WCM at 11 AM and 3 PMish... he's been at school so they give it to him pretty close to his scheduled times.
So today he had a great day, happy reports, nothing unusual. He didn't nap very long at all (45 min) but that is the norm at school, he has trouble napping without quiet and darkness. So he was soooo tired when we got home, didn't really want to eat dinner, but was otherwise good natured and playing with Alex. He had had a yogurt for snack at 4:30ish I wasn't too concerned about him not eating, that's normal for when he's tired. We bathed them, DH gave the bottle and halfway through- bam- projectile vomit.
So DH cleans up, I clean up Si and call the nurse. He was obviously upset that he puked but after I cleaned him up back to smile good-natured self, no crying, whining, playing nicely while I'm on hold with the nurse doing all of this. JUST as we're all cleaned up and I'm on hold, bam- he does it again.
Same thing, back to normal afterwards.
DH rocked him after we got him cleaned up again and he's out like a light. Again, so tired, but not feverish at all.
Nurse said it is either a virus or too much too soon on the WCM (gee, thanks, glad I waited on hold for 25 minutes). What's your bet?
Anyone have a kiddo vomit during the transition to WCM? Obviously I'm going to keep a good eye on him in the night. C'mon nesties... tell me this is a fluke and he's NOT going to be sick for his birthday party this weekend!!!
Re: Vomiting from too much WCM?
Sara had a hard time adjusting to WCM. I think it took us months before she was completely off formula and just on WCM. Oh and she too always vomited if we tried to give her more than her tummy was ready for. Fun times. I actually had to give her goat's milk for a while then transition to WCM.
I hope it is not a virus and he is back to normal tomorrow!

He's been trying out WCM for almost a week? And he's a week shy of 1 yr?
I'm inclined to say he might be getting sick. I know all babies are different, so maybe his tummy hasn't adjusted... I don't know. We did a cold turkey stop straight to WCM @ 11.5 months with no problems.. but I'd trust your mommy gut.
I hope I'm wrong.=(
Kept bottle down, acting totally normal. Chalking it up to milk and hoping we don't get kicked out of school today.
Thank you for the replies! Very helpful, Alex had no trouble so I have no experience with this!
