39 weeks - 1 cm dilated - impatiently scheduled induction

I really, really want my cervix to do its thing, for my water to break, and for baby girl to make her way here as naturally as possible. However, I'm not willing to wait forever. And at 1 cm dilated, 0% effaced, it's not looking promising.

She's due June 1 and I'm monumentally done with pregnancy. We'll induce the night of June 2nd and plan to welcome her to the world June 3rd. I'm working right up until this time, and am so physically, mentally and emotionally done.  SO JEALOUS of everyone who has healthy, happy "outside" baby already!

    You will have an "outside" baby before you know it! Hope she comes on her own for you!

    I'm due June 3rd and not dilated a bit. Not sure how effaced I am. My midwife told me we will talk about induction after I am 41 weeks along - ugh. I am uncomfortable, crabby, and most people irritate me. I am really having to be quite careful how I am at work. I too am working up until the very end. Good luck!

    I right there with you too. Due the 4th and only 1 cm and things aren't changing. We've talking some about induction, but not much. I just know he won't let me go a week after that. I really don't want the pitocin but I guess my lo has other plans.

    You still have plenty of time for things to change on there own! It's very possible for you to go from nothing to full force very quick.

    I'm due same day as you. My apt is at 2 this afternoon.... maybe we'll be in the same boat? All I can say is I totally hear you when it comes to being ready and done!

    I'm due the day after you and am only 1 cm too. Why not wait for a week after your due date? Most people don't go early or on time if it's their first. I'm assuming it's your first?

    If you want to do it on your own, why schedule an induction for the day after your due date?
