BOMB check in

Grrr I just typed out a whole thing and the nest ate it.  I wonder how many points it had.  HA. 

I had a tough day yesterday, made a not so awesome choice for lunch (but it tasted GOOD), it involved something that starts with an In and ends with an Out.  But, the good news is, I stayed within my points even with eating that, so I was proud about that.

Challenge today is to eat a salad for lunch- Alex & I are going on a lunch date at school and I need to remember I had my cheeseburger fix yesterday.

  • I always thought In and Out was a healthy burger option, no?

    I kicked butt in the gym yesterday: woke up and ran at the butt crack of dawn, hit the gym for Zumba and did two rounds on the arm weight machines. My challenge today: to take a REST day and not exercise. Hard for me. My knee is a little sore, likely from overdoing it yesterday, so I am going to try and skip pilates. We'll see.

    My other little challenge: to be better about drinking more water. I find that I fill my water bottle up and then leave it on the counter. Or in the car. And then don't drink anything...

  • Yesterday I went to the Dailey Method for the first time.  It was HARD!!!  Wow, I can barely walk today.  I was considering running out of there in the first few minutes, but managed to make it through, and actually ended up liking it.  Well liking it and hating it, ha!  But enough to go back.  I can tell it works muscles I didn't know I had and though I am super sore, it's not painful like an injury.  Kind of a satisfying sore I guess.

    My challenge to myself is to go back to another class between now and this weekend.  There's also another place I want to try this week or early next.  So, that is my goal, to do both those things by next Tues.

    I think it's much better than the alternatives, but still my lunch (a regular cheeseburger and 1/2 of the fries) was 18 points.  But I stayed within by having salad with some chicken on it for dinner, lots of veg.  It could have been way, way worse, lol!  Lord knows it has been!!  And I threw half the fries away...  baby steps, baby steps!  :)

    Me on the otherhand, its THAT week, and i find myslef slacking, HARD. tonight is yoga, so we will see if i can get myself to class tonight.

  • My challenge this week will be eating healthy while DH is gone for a few days. It's always hard for me to cook a good dinner when he is gone. And I almost always get taquitos!

  • Keep up the good work ladies!!

    I am back at it at the gym, although I got a little depressed not being able to climb up on the treadmill and pound out a few miles.

    I did the rowing machine (hello muscles I didn't know I had, I am sore!) and the stationary bike.  I have been very good about eating the last few days, hope I can keep it up!!

    I was inspired by my soon to be brother in law this past weekend and am going to attempt a duathalon (run and bike) in September.  I am really excited!!

    My challenge is going to be not blowing all my good eating hard work this weekend.

    I've been keeping up at the Dailey Method, going 5 times a week right now and feeling great. Down 2.6 lbs this week. Amazing how easy it is to have a loss when you don't eat out. My challenge is to keep up the smaller portions and better choices while eating out this weekend. My grandma is coming to town for my mom's bday so I know there will be some dining out.

  • My challenge today is to stay hydrated. 

    I'm also on day 2 of eating raw (I do this once a month) and I lost 3lbs!  In ONE day! It's not easy, but I do always feel better!

  • I need to get on an eating schedule.  I'm not one to eat in the morning so sometimes I'll grab a granola bar or something like that and then not eat again until 2 or 3pm because I'm on the go when Sara is at school.  Then I'll eat a bit of dinner (more like a snack) and end up hungry around 9-9:30pm.  Even though I'm up late until 12:30-1am.  I think this is a big reason I'm not losing weight.  My body thinks I'm not eating enough and eating at weird times.  

    My challenge is to get to the gym today.  I've got work I need to get done before I go out tonight since the guy I need answers from isn't going to be at work tomorrow.  I'm thinking if I can get at least 30 mins in at the gym today I'll be good with that.

  • Ugh, I've had a rough week - DH out of town + sick + period starting + whiny kiddos = eating like crap and not working out at all. At least I'm finally starting to feel better today so hoping I can turn this week around. My challenge for today is to put together a healthy meal plan for the rest of the week and figure out some activities I can do to get some exercise with the kiddos tomorrow and Friday.

  • My challenge for today *was* to eat all healthy but I couldn't resist a big ol' burrito from one of my favorite taquerias. :) So instead I split it into lunch and dinner...tomorrow I have to do better. And I gotta stop the later night snacking...a few gummy bears at 9-10pm is killing me!!! :(
