I'm considering enrolling my infant in Stow Montessori & Child Care, which is one location of several in the Cleveland area that's owned by parent company Creative Playrooms. If anyone can offer an opinion about this center or any of its affiliated centers, I'd love to hear it.
Re: Opinion about a child care/Montessori school
I took my children there (Stow location) about 6 years ago. They were 4, 7 and 9 however I did not enroll them in the "school" part of the daycare. They enjoyed their time there, the smaller child more than the older ones. The place shuttles your child (when applicable) to/from school. Based on the rates in that area, this one is pretty reasonable.
They do have a closing time that they like to stick with but most daycares facilities are this way and charge accordingly.
I never had an issue with cleanliness with this facility and the staff seemed friendly enough or horrid smells (I've been to daycares that I wouldn't send my 11 yr old to). I think there was a pink eye issue once or twice but that is normal with commercial facilities and they do not take children that are sick which is also normal.
Unfortunately, I do not have any experience with the infant section and am currently looking into a private sitter for my newborn in the Stow/Cuy Falls area myself. Fortunately, I know a couple of people who do this on a personal level.
You should check out the facility a few times by dropping in (catching them off guard) to see if you feel comfortable leaving your child. Good luck in your decision.
I have no experience with Tots Landing.
Child Time is a franchise and I took my children to one of their locations for a short time. One day I picked my daughter up, she was 4/5 at the time. She had been hit in the head with a chair leg from one of the teachers carrying chairs over the kids' heads. No one called me or anything to let me know this had happened. I had to take her to the hospital where they stitched her up with liquid stitches, she still has a scar on her head 10 years later.
Kids Country, I babysat a family who took their kids here. I don't have any negative regarding the care. I have no personal experience their though I only picked the children up occasionally. However, they are extremely pricey. I was trying to register my 3 for summer care and they wanted $450 a week and $450 register fee that included a pass to Leisure Time, this was for school age children.
Good luck with your decision.
