Any GFCFSF mamas?

I need help with lunch ideas for three yr olds.

Thanks!

Re: Any GFCFSF mamas?

  • We are!  Our entire family is now actually.

We do tons of organic fruit and veggies.  My kids love the Annies lemon and chive dressing as a "dip".  Rice cakes and sunbutter, Lara bars, rice pasta salad, trail mix, lettuce wraps, they love skewers of fruits, apple sauce, so delicious coconut yogurt, cut up meats (we do all natural nitrate free organic).  They like sandwich on a skewer too that includes folded lettuce, cherry tomato and a rolled up piece of turkey.  These are a good treat I make once every couple of months (we've cut out most sugar...) but I altered the recipe since we discovered dd's allergies.  I now use sunbutter and the easy life choc. chips that are gfcfsf.  Rice pasta and organic marinara, we do leftover homemade vegetable soup a lot.  We used to do rice tortillas grilled with cheese, gf mustard and turkey.  Shredded chicken and rice with salsa.  Cut up cucumbers, peppers, tomatoes and avacado mixed with the annies dressing.  All different kinds of quinoa.  Olives too. We send leftovers a lot.  Lots of fruits and veggies and at least one protein.

  • Carlinlp -that peanut butter recipe looks fantastic!!!!! I'm totally making this with almond butter
  • It's soooo good.  I am counting the days until I can have it again (I'm on a strict detox / cleanse program right now....)

We like them better in the fridge =)

  • Those that feed Lara bars: Are your kids not allergic to peanuts and/or tree nuts?  Aren't nuts in all of their flavors?
