I was the 'journalist' type. I was on the newspaper all four yrs- and editor the last 2 and ed in chief senior year. Same with yearbook. Was only on it the last 2yrs and editor in chief my senior year.
(also mathletes, track, SADD, community service corps, National Honors Society)
I was in band. Like serious band geek, but I was pretty decent in high school and ended up majoring in music in college. I would have done sports but I hated the girls that were on the teams.
None because I started working at 15. So afterschool and weekends I would go into work to make money since I had to save money to pay my way through college. Some days I look back and wish I had had the time to join a sport or a club. But I was very happy to be able to pay for my college education in cash and not have any student loans to pay off.
I was all over the place: Volleyball, soccer, BPA, Debate, Forensics, Mock Trial, Yearbook, Science Olympiad, "We the People: the Citizen and the Constitution" team
Stay at home mom to a house of boys: two amazing stepsons, 12 and 9, and our 4 year old.
My fave was theater, but I was also heavily involved in (and loved) debate, forensics, orchestra (violin), choir, and scholar's bowl. Every nerdy thing they had.
I won the Rex Mahan award my senior year, which is granted to students who excel in debate, forensics, and theater, and I went to Nationals in Forensics that year, too. When I look back, I guess it's really not much of a surprise that I work in the Entertainment industry.

I sulked, wore black and listened to the Cure and Sioxsie!
Acutally I went to a gifted hs. As if HS isn't hard enough trying to fit in, I went to the uber geek school with no football team or any varsity sports except tennis and soccer. I hate my parents for wanting me to go there all through hs. Now I love them for it.
I was in ROTC, played piano and creative writing club. I also did big sisters/big brothers. I loved drama and artsy stuff too, so I was involved with all of that.I also got involved jr. year in ROCK THE VOTE. When it first started. Ha! Showing my age!

The first 1/2 I did theatre and newspaper. I moved the summer before junior year and got into a "rough" crowd. Then my extracurriculars became drinking and skipping school. I did get back on track for college though.

I was varsity volleyball captain, student body secretary and vice president (consecutive years), assistant editor of the school paper, member of our school's drama club, and a really active volunteer in our community.
ETA: I also worked two jobs, was active at church, and was a teacher's aide for biology and chemistry classes.

Cross Country and Track.
I was on the rowing team. Isn't that preppy? It was damned hard work though. I did the swim team in the winter to cross train.

I was a softball player.
I took pitching lessons year round and played on multiple summer teams (like 5 one year). It paid off since I got a scholarship to play in college!

I was more active at my church and in supporting my siblings in their sports.
I also took quite a few AP classes.
It seems like I didn't do much but I still felt like I hardly had any time to myself.
