Baptism gifts?

My cousin's little girl is being baptized next month and I need to get her a gift. She's 9 months old. Any suggestions? None of the rest of my family is religious so I have never even been to a baptism before. I am lost as to what I should get her.

I never know what to get either. For Griffin's baptism we got a lot of picture frames and knick knack type of stuff. But, we get a few of those children's prayer books like the Our Father and Hail Mary. They are really cute. My sister got him a nice engraved plaque with the date and a nice biblical verse on it. Some people give those picture bibles which are nice.

If you go into any Christian book store there should be a pluthera of options.

for Cerys' baptism she got (in no particular order)

A nice piggy bank
A silver spoon with her initials
A silver cup with her initials
Two crosses
A locket with engraving inside
A bottle of port that will come of age when she turns 21 (a really nice bottle, with a nice engraving inside and some little wine gadgets)
A silver napkin ring with her initials
A couple of outfits
A nice bible

I think that is it from what I remember. Hope that helps! Most of it was keepsake type stuff.

This is one of my favorite gifts. I usually buy it at Target for convience. It's not super-religious, but is basically about saying prayers to thank God for various things before bedtime. Allie loves this book and we read it before bed. I like that it's a gift we can use each day.

We got a lot of wall crosses, picture frames, and memory books, etc. We ended up putting most of them away because they were overtaking her room. Money is another option if you want to go the simple route.

Nice religious childrens books are my favorite, picture frames, cross to hang on the wall, savings bond, precious moments figure or something similar, cute jewlry box, or cash.

We got mostly books and money for S's baptism and I'm pretty sure my niece got the same. For my niece, I got her 1 or 2 religious books and a couple of our favorites!
