I've only used it as a single. It pushes pretty easily. I like it ok. I am still in love with my BOB, though, but I knew we needed a tandem stroller. I just tried out the 2nd seat with the carseat attached. Pretty cool setup. We bought the 2010, but that will be for the baby when she is ready to sit in it. We bought the 2011 for my soon to be toddler because it was a little deeper. We shall see how it works in practice in a few months. GL with your decision.
No way...I love it! I think the absolute best thing about it is how easily it can go from a single to a double. Now that my DD is getting a little bit older, I let her walk some places, but we are definitely not past the point of her using one more often than not. I would hate to have to drag a double around with only one kid in it.
love it. I sometimes get sick about the price we spent...but it was worth it. I do regret getting the white color seat for the extra seat. Its very dirty after less than a year of use. I love that lately DS want to face DD and will entertain her while we are shopping. Its great. Get at least one tray too, its great for a high chair on the go while you are out.

My only "regret" I guess was that I had planned on it being our only double and once I got it I realized it wasn't good for the long walks/runs that I do around our neighborhood. So I had to buy a BOB Duallie for that. But if you told me to pick the BOB or BJCS for the most practical, useful, light, easy to use, etc. I would pick the BJCS hands down.

I regret getting the city mini double instead of the city select. When we bought the double the 2010s were still more expensive. DS1 walks a lot so I never know which stroller to bring places.
After 2 years and 6 IUIs, we did it with IVF w/ ICSI!

Thanks ladies! I'm so happy to hear you all love it so much because I really don't know what other stroller we would get after looking at what's out there. We placed an order for the 2010 today - hopefully the upgrades added to the 2011 aren't worth paying $100 extra dollars for.
Sweetpea - what about the stroller wasn't great for long walks? Just curious. Right now we have a Bumbleride Indie that is great for taking DD on long walks (I suppose it would be ok for light jogs on a bike path, but I don't bother). Our neighborhood has some pretty rough/uneven/narrow sidewalks so I definitely need something "all-terrain". Do you think I will still need a jogging stroller too?
We did a CRAP LOAD of research before settling on it, and I am so annoyed that I didn't realize the drawbacks that would be a deal breaker for me.
First, some background: I live in the middle of a huge city with a great public transportation system, and I walk or take metro/trolley everywhere. The system isn't very handicap/stroller friendly, so I have to get the stroller up and down the stairs a lot. Also, I needed a tandem stroller to be able to navigate these systems. While researching, I was stuck between the CS and the P&T. I ultimately chose the CS because the configuration meant that DH and I wouldn't be hitting the back of the jumpseat with our knees while walking (we're tall). Also, I liked the fact that we could use the basket on the CS while both kids were in the stroller.
However, the fact that the extra seat on the CS is in the front, makes the stroller a bit difficult to maneuver. It's easier if the lighter kid is in front, but right now there is only a 5-lb difference between my girls. Anyway, having that seat in front makes it hard to "pop a wheelie", which I have to do to get the stroller down the stairs. It also makes the stroller a little bit unwieldy to steer - I take hour+-long walks around town several times a week and by the end, my wrists hurt from steering.
Also, the CS is not nearly as configurable as they advertise. Yes, you can put the seats in 16 different configurations, but once you have two kids in them, the adjustability changes quite a bit. Because of my older DD's preference (riding facing forward), the only way I could really have both of them in the stroller was both forward-facing. But I couldn't really recline the baby much if she was in front (to make it easier to steer) without smushing DD1's knees. So they both had to be basically entirely upright facing forward. If I turned the baby around, I could recline her, but then I had to adjust DD1's footrest to be parallel to the ground, or she'd smush the baby's legs.
These issues might not be a big deal - but they are something to think about if one of the selling points of the CS for you is all the configurations.
Finally, the seats are not very tall. DD1 is tall for her age - 33.5 inches at 20 months - with a slightly long torso - and when I put the sun canopy up, it grazes the top of her head. I think she'd outgrow the seat before she outgrows strollers. I was hoping they would fix this issue on the 2011 seats, but they did not.
So we bought a P&T Explorer, which I've now been using for about two months. It is super easy to get around town with. Both babies enjoy sitting in the back seat (which I was also worried about). I can get up and down stairs with no problems. It is easy to maneuver. And i bought a backpack to use as a diaper bag, which solves my no-basket issue.
And now I have this huge clunk CS with a million accessories to sell. I'm so annoyed that I made the wrong decision!
I haven't read the responses here but I bet everyone else said they loved it. I think, if I didn't walk everywhere, and didn't live in a non-handicapped-accessible city, I'd probably like it more. But it didn't fit our needs.
So far I really like mine, but going into it I knew the limitations it has.
First off, I dislike the fold. It's easy to do, but the fold is long. Kind of a pain.
As far as maneuverability that people complain about...hello it's not configured the same as a P&T or the B-ready, so yeah it's not going to be as easy to push when you have two kids in it. The plus side, IMO, is that you can decide where you want your kids to sit. I really want the baby up by me and DD in the front low to the ground so she can get in/out easily. Not an option in the other in-lines. Granted it will be harder to push this way, but I'm willing to deal with it to have the kids where I want them. And if it becomes really difficult I can put my older child in back which would make it easier to push.
The seats on the b-ready do seem larger and more plush, but I kicked the back of the b-ready when walking and I'm only 5'4" so it would not have worked for me (plus the whole configuration thing). Not sure of the tires on the b-ready but I think the P&Ts has air tires. If you will be using this stroller outside then maybe you should consider the tires. For me, the BJCS is my indoor mall stroller. I have an all-terrain side by side for outdoors with air tires, which IMO is a must-have for outside.
If you go with the BJCS you might as well get the 2010 if you can find a good deal. Back in Jan I was able to get the stroller for $320 and the 2nd seat for $109, so it didn't make any sense to spend extra on a 2011 when really it doesn't offer much in the way of improvements over the 2010.
