Back from vaca, half baked & update on my sister (3 posts in 1)

Hi Ladies!  First, congrats to all the BFP's this week and 3 cheers for the babies who arrived safe and sound!

I've been checking in the past week, but unable to post.  DH and I took a nice road trip, followed the Tour of Calif. bike race, and enjoyed everything from snow in Tahoe to nice warm So Cal. It was a good week and I'm sad to be back at work.

I am excited to be half baked! Can't believe how quickly the past few weeks have passed. I bought a cute, vintage dresser which I'm going to repaint for the nursery, better get cracking on that project! Better get started on the nursery, period.

Finally, some of you may recall my post a few weeks ago about my sister who's 10 days ahead of me; her a/s showed an echogenic bowel and she was already at a high risk for downs - this totally freaked me out. Results from the amnio came back all clear! The bowel still appears brighter than it should so they'll need to watch it, but I'm happy for her she had good results. 

Though I'm quite mad at her - she did not bother to call my mom or I with the good news, we found out over a week later; meanwhile I was totally upset that something was wrong and she was avoiding telling us - which then totally upset my mom. I'll see her later this week and in the future the rule is, when you are expecting potentially life changing medical results - you call your family when you get the results!  Ug, my sister - but that's a whole other story...

Anyhow, glad to be back and hope you're all doing well!

    Congratulations on being half-baked!  I'm so glad your had such a great trip and your sister's LO is doing well.

    Congrats on being half-baked and I'm glad everything is fine with your sister.  Why was she avoiding telling you?  I'd be calling my family as soon as I had the chance!
