US in a few minutes and I'm a big ball of nerves...

I'm heading to my doc's in a little bit for a blood draw and ultrasound. I'm wicked nervous. I know there's no reason to suspect anything's wrong, but there wasn't any reason to last pregnancy, either, and that ended badly. DH is at a dentist appointment right now which is about 20 minutes away from my dr's office and I *so hope* he makes it on time for my appt. I'm terrified I'll get bad news and he won't be there with me. My dr's office is really quick, though, so I don't have much hope that he'll get there in time. Blah I'm babbling but it's just because I'm a big ball of nerves right now.

    Hi Ladies! I'm back from my appointment and everything looks good so far. The baby's still in there (lol) and is measuring right on track. We could see a heartbeat (thank God!) but when I asked the tech what the heart rate was she said, "oh, we won't measure it yet. It's too early: the heart only just started beating in the last 24 to 48 hours." So of course I'm mildly paranoid that it's slow but then I've read that it's normal for it to be slow right at 6 weeks since it just started beating and that it would pick up in the next few days. So, good stuff. :)

    Oh, and DH didn't make it (dentist was slow) so I made sure to make the appointment next week after triple-checking with him that he's free. I know he's just as nervous about this pregnancy as I am and I think getting him involved as much as possible with the doc appointments will help.

    Thanks ladies, for your encouragement! I apologize in advance for the very similar post I'm sure I'll write a week from today before my next appointment. :/

    beautiful photos!  I think it actually just makes you more stressed out when you know.  I went for an u/s this past Friday and the h/b was 96bpm which I was told and have read that its slow so I have been freaking out all week waiting until my next u/s.  H&H 9 months to you!
