Well, that was stupid

I am 5 weeks today.

I have a 3.5 year old son and a 22 month old daughter. My son goes to preschool for a couple hours a day and the school is within walking distance.

It has been pouring rain outside so I took the car over. We still had to park a ways away from where I pick him up. I ended up grabbing both kids and briskly walking back to the car so we all wouldn't get drenched. I immediately regretted it. I am having a dull ache in my pelvis now. I haven't had cramps for a while and I hope I didn't do something stupid. Combined, they weigh about 50lbs. I know I shouldn't be lifting too much but it's hard to stop being a mom...especially when it's raining cats and dogs and there is lightning and thunder. I know now that I can't carry them both at the same time anymore.

Makes me a bit sad. I hope I don't have to cut back too much. I don't want to feel like I am neglecting them. sigh

I have a four year old son and I totally understand what you are saying. I always regret lifting him up when I have cramps after. Hang in there!

I think I had that dull ache a few days ago after a pilates class. I thought "Oh geez, was that just dumb?" but the instructor said it would be fine to keep taking the class without modifying positions until the second trimester. You may have just used a muscle that you haven't used in awhile. Take it easy, super mama.
