had amnio yesterday b/c of Choroid plexus cyst

So we found out at our anatomy scan yesterday LO has a choroid plexus cyst on the brain. Although docs were positive that most likely everything is ok it completely freaked me out b/c of our past. We lost DS #2 @ 32wks to most likely a chromosome abnormality. yesterday brought back so many unwanted memories of worry and dread etc...We opted to have the amnio b/c of our past and what we went through w/ DS # 2.
The needle hurt when it went in but once it was in it was ok. However LO moved so she had to remove the needle and she didn't get as much amniotic fluid as she needed but she said it should be enough for the testing. ugh. IT was a stressful day and i just wish we would have had a better outcome. Now once again, we sit and wait in worry. We just pray everything is ok w/ LO.

Argh. How unfair to you! You deserve an easy pregnancy!
I am sending lots of positive thoughts your way. I went through an amnio and "the wait" a few weeks ago, so I understand how tough the waiting can be. Just try your best to be distracted for the next week or so.

Hoping for good news for you! Your story was one of the things that convinced me that I should get an amnio once we were told that I was at higher risk for Downs. I just had the procedure done today, now the waiting begins.

You poor thing! I hope everything is ok too.
My son had a CPC on his brain at 18 weeks but we just went with a Level II u/s and he is perfectly healthy! I totally understand why you went with the amnio though this time.
