January 2012 Moms

So, I think we should compare

I got all excited about my beta's but looking at everyone elses at 16 DPO mine seems on the lower side. I am trying to find out if thats normal. I could also be 17 DPO depending on when FF and I say I Oed.

What were your DPO and HCG beta results??

I have only had one...16 DPO=205

What was yours?

  • Mine was exactly 205 as well.

  • Comparing is definitely not a good idea.  Everyone's betas are different.

I know there is another website that women on this board like to use, I don't remember the name but this one (linked below) is my favorite.  It gives you an average chart at the bottom.

I think that is good for 16 DPO! Your starting number doesn't really matter, its the ones that come later.

No! Don't compare! You will drive yourself crazy! I compared and gave myself a panic attack.

The important part is doubling not the number itself.

  • I'm pretty sure of my ovulation date, so mine were 99 at 10DPO and 371 at 13DPO.  As others have said, the first number doesn't matter as much, we just hope the second one has doubled.  Good luck!!!

  • Mine are in my sig, but I would really second the PPs - there is NO comparison with betas. Each woman's is different, since each pregnancy is different, and it's really those second and third numbers that matter the most. GL!

  • Im just lurking, but I just wanted to say its more about the number doubling rather then the lone number, are you having another one done? If the Dr is not concerned then I would not be worried about it. The O date is good but your little bean might be growing faster or slower so that might skew the numbers (not necessarily bad, just at a slower pace :-))

    Hang in there!

    Congrats on your BFP!

This.  My numbers are in my siggy for my most recent pregnancy, but as you can see on the website referenced above, the "normal" range is very wide.
