Tummy time sleeping?

The last few days we've had tummy time with LO, she's found her thumb and then fallen asleep. Is it bad to leave her on her tummy for a quick catnap (15 minutes) if she's in the same room as us and we're monitoring her? She seems so content but I've read enough to know she "should" be only sleeping on her back.

    I know that when I was still in the hospital with LO and he had to be under the bili lights, that the nurses said that it was ok for him to lay on his tummy as long as I was in the room, and I was keeping an eye on him.

    My LO always seems to fall asleep during tummy time sessions.  LOL!  I just let her be since I am in the same room constantly monitoring her.

    DS will ALWAYS fall asleep if he's on him tummy laying on me, whether it's across my lap or on my chest. I let him sleep as long as he will. I would let him if he were in his pnp or mat as long as I was there.

    I let DS sleep on his stomach as long as I'm awake & in the same room. It helps with his gassiness, and the pedi said it might help with some of his reflux pain.

    Thank you ladies, I thought it would be fine if I was here with her but thought I should check... the nice thing is I can hear her sucking her thumb a few times a minute which is reassuring!!

    my LO loves sleeping on his tummy and my pedi said as long as im watching him and not asleep myself then its absolutely ok. and he is reflux so he spits up a lot and she still says its ok if im watching!
