Twins run in both my husband's family and my own, but very strongly on his side. My doctor just confirmed my pregnancy last week at a routine visit. I keep track of my weight closely, and when I stepped on his scale I noticed that I'd gained eleven pounds in the past 6 weeks. ELEVEN POUNDS! lol. with no changed or excessive eating patterns.
So maybe my hormones are making my weight go crazy... or maybe I'm carrying two! I want to know soon, and I know I won't be able to officially tell until the doctor can make a confirmation. Any advice or input?
Re: Too early to predict twins?
How far along are you?
Even if you are carrying twins, a baby weighs next to nothing at this point. It would be really really early for that much gain to be attributed to baby. I know my doctor's scale and my scale aren't always equal, so that may be part of the weight difference.
That being said, if you're hoping for twins then I hope you see two babies on your ultrasound!
