Hairy Belly???

Has anyone else have a hairy belly? I never did before I got Pregnant. Its not like thick but Its long and sticks up. Sort of Grosses me out. my mom has had 5 kids and she even thinks its gross/wierd.... someone please tell me iim not alone

increased hair growth is normal during pregnancy--it should go back to normal after you have the baby. No worries!

I have noticed more hair on my belly actually, it is wierd. Luckily I have blonde hair so you can't really notice it but its there! Everyone tells me its normal and will be gone after the baby comes.

A lot of the hair growth is due to the prenatal vitamins we take because they contain biotin, which helps hair and nail growth.

It will go away once the baby is born.

Me too, but I thought maybe it was just the angle I was looking at it from (above, obviously). I shaved it after my husband commented on it, lol.

I haven't seen it on my tummy yet but I was getting more hair on my face-ick! Like on the sides almost like sideburns. I had to get my whole face threaded and it hurt so bad.

Could just be an old wives tale, but my MW told me hair on your belly could mean extra testosterone in your body from carrying a baby boy.

Me too, me too lol! I have always had a mildly hairy belly but now the strands are thicker, darker, and they are standing straight up. I makes sure to shave it the day before I have dr appts so she doesn't have to see my nasty hairy belly

Also, I watched pregnancy for dummies the other day and it talked about all the weird things your body will experience. Hair on your belly was one of them. It's completely normal.

Yeah, my stomach has gotten horribly hairy. I get dark hairs around my belly button (which are easy to tweeze) but then the rest of my stomach has gotten this horrible peach fuzz. I tried waxing it but it's too fine and won't come out.

Yup, I've got it. When it first showed up I was just like you've got to be kidding me. I swear pregnancy causes SO MANY things to change to our bodies. I've also heard it goes back to normal after LO arrives.

Did any of you read The Little Fur Family as a kid? That's us. DH and I are both fairly hairy people, and since getting pregnant, I've been even more so. Pretty much everything below the waist (or what used to be my waist) resembles the Transylvanian forest if I don't manage it.

My belly is always a little hairy so i used to get it waxed. I was enjoying the pregnancy belly hair because my belly looks and feel like a huge fuzzy peach, then it got longer and darker and coarser. Last night I took the tweezers to the less sighlty bits while watching tv. I might get it waxed before too long but I hate to see the cute fuzzy bits go, but the less cute ones are not so adorable.

I'm there with you all. My hair seems to be growing on the bottom part of my belly. I am a blonde, however this new hair seems to be growing in dark & long. I'm afraid to wax of shave it though because I don't want more to grow or become thicker
